ON THE WALK

The morning sun illuminates a Bruin flag as UCLA ROTC cadets march down Janss Steps during a “road march” exercise. Holding the guidon — or flag — is Roy Yoo, a sophomore political science major and winner of a three-year Army scholarship. Road marches take place on campus monthly as part of the cadets’ regular training.
