Now your cell phone can be your audio guide through the galleries of UCLA's Hammer Museum.
The Hammer, known for cutting-edge exhibitions, recently launched a free mobile-phone app that provides audio tours and video interviews with curators and artists, as well as videos of the creative process and excerpts from exhibition catalogs.
The app is also linked to social network sites and email, so you can instantly text your friends about the artwork you're seeing.
The program — which can be downloaded from the iTunes Store, Android Market or your phone's pre-installed market application — runs on iPhone iOS 4 or Android version 2.2 or higher.
Keep in mind that the Hammer requires visitors to use earbuds or headphones. You can rent them there if you don't bring your own.
