It's official: Bruins are hot. We know this because UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television alum and Ugly Betty co-star Christopher Gorham '96 has been named one of People magazine's "Sexiest Men Alive" of 2007.
Gorham has appeared on numerous television series. His first regular role was as the loveable, but unpopular, Harrison John on the WB's Popular. On the small screen, Gorham was in the cast of CSI, Medical Investigation and headlined Out of Practice and Jake 2.0. In the movies, the actor starred in the film The Other Side of Heaven.
Cast as a series regular in the second season of the highly successful Ugly Betty, Gorham plays adorable nerd, Henry Grubstick.
Of course, when you're hot, you have little time to chat. So we caught up with Gorham by e-mail and asked him about his latest, um, honor.
See the People story and video.
"My manager emailed me with the news that I had been chosen as one of People's 'Sexiest Men Alive.' I was flattered. I can't say I hadn't wanted to be included in that issue, but I do recognize that I was put in the 'nerd' section and was probably riding on the coattails of Masi Oka and Rainn Wilson’s success."
Gorham looked to his wife for some guidance on his novel status. "I asked Anel what she thinks is the sexiest thing about me. She said, 'Your hands. Your big manly hands.' Swear to god."
The modest Gorham even offered his fellow Bruins some valuable advice for those aspiring to make People's prestigious list: "Do what David Beckham and I did — camp out in the lobby of People's editorial offices and refuse to eat until they put you on the list."
