It's the fantasy of every low-level temp and harried receptionist: snagging ringside seats to watch M.B.A.-types go 300 on each other in a grudge match for the corner office.
OK, it's nothing like that, but on July 14 at 2 p.m. EST., six of the finest UCLA Anderson students will compete against colleagues from seven other top-ranked business schools to win bragging rights on CNBC's new Fast Money MBA Challenge. Teams will prove their mettle in quizzes and challenges designed to test their investment skills, financial knowledge and management savvy.
The four-episode season, scheduled to air in August, will tape in front of a live audience at the CNBC studio in Englewood Cliffs, N.J. UCLA alumni, students and fans in the New York City area can show up and cheer for business-minded Bruins. To make it easier, UCLA Anderson will provide free T-shirts and free round-trip transportation from Manhattan.
