A rare snowfall occurred at UCLA in 1932.

On Jan. 15, 1932, students who came to campus for 8 a.m. classes found UCLA covered in a blanket of fresh snow. A grand snowball fight took place, with some professors even cancelling classes to join the battle. The festivities only lasted until 11 a.m., when the sun melted the snow and left the campus to its usual business.
