"I'm nostalgic for the '90s," says Priti Ohri ’02, who works in ad sales for MTV. "I love NKOTB [New Kids on the Block], Paula Abdul, Milli Vanilli. Saved by the Bell, Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place, those were my favorites. We're just far enough removed to miss the '90s, but close enough to remember what actually happened."
Call it nostalgia for the new century, the fond memories of the recent UCLA graduates. Plenty of it will be on hand, right down to the '90s cover band, at the Young Alumni Reunion on May 20.
Though it hasn't been that long since these Bruins left Westwood, young alumni have made the annual reunion a popular new tradition. Like their Bruin predecessors, members of the classes of 2001 to the soon-to-graduate 2006 come to Pauley Pavilion to see what's changed, who's gained or lost a few pounds and to mix a little professional networking in with the fun.
In addition to the '90s music and the power chats, partygoers will enjoy a live DJ spinning dance music, casino games with prizes, souvenir photos, giveaways, a chocolate fountain, food, drinks and parking included with the price of admission.
