A new season of Bruin sports means a new opportunity for tailgates and renewed eight-clap energy. And the UCLA Bruin Kids Club offers kids an opportunity to experience UCLA athletic traditions, as well.

Created in 2007 in partnership with Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA, the club is an exclusive membership for kids 13 and younger. Among the benefits of membership are free admission to selected games (except men's basketball) on special "Kids Club Days" and opportunities to interact with the Bruin Academy, a group of UCLA student-athletes.

Program director Molly Gort says, "More exclusive events will allow the members closer access to UCLA athletes either on or off the court and field."

At the Annual Spring Game in April, kids were invited onto the Rose Bowl field for games and activities with the football team and a talk with Head Football Coach Rick Neuheisel '84.

And if running isn't your kid's ideal activity, other events exclusively for Kids Club members include the Best Bruin Growl (voted on by other fans) and an invitation to the Joe Bruin birthday party. So while you get ready to kick back and enjoy the game, give your little Bruin something to look forward to as well!

Bruin Kids Club. Registration: $25 for the first child and $20 for each additional child. Call (310) 267-4867 or visit the Bruin Kids Club.
