The Elegant Dances of the French and American revolutions swirl on in Westwood, courtesy of aficionados such as UCLA dance instructor Cynthia Harper, co-director of the Historical Ballroom Dance Club at UCLA. That’s her (above) during the recent 9th Annual Revolutionary Ball in the Charles E. Young Grand Salon, teaching vintage dance fans how to stop worrying and love such classics as the minuet, Grand March, Virginia reel and other period dances. The club offers classes on ballroom and international folk dancing on campus throughout the year. Visit their website for more information.
