The headline says it all, explains photographer Jim McHugh about this time-warping shot of the Molecular Sciences Building on the UCLA campus. McHugh captured the futuristic edifice with an old-time Speed Graphic press camera and extinct Polaroid film. He's been shooting L.A. this way for years, including vanished icons like the Ambassador Hotel and Perino's restaurant. "I really love the crazy modernness of the building," McHugh says. "Such a different idea for UCLA than what most people have."
