Are you ready for some soccer? In July, famed soccer team Real Madrid trained at UCLA’s North Athletic Field as part of a preseason tour that also included an exhibition match against the Los Angeles Galaxy. It was part of a campus tradition that began in 2005, when English club Chelsea practiced here. We sent graphic artist Mark Todd out to observe the team — including, as he discovered, a certain über-popular forward who is the most highly paid soccer player in the world.
