Let's cut to the chase. You are not looking at a pallet in a hair-extension warehouse. Nor is this the closet at your local Supercuts. What you are looking at is just a tiny sample of the end result of dozens of hairstylists snipping, clipping and shaping the 'dos of dozens of Bruin students, faculty, staff and friends at the James West Alumni Center in February. The center was turned into an impromptu beauty salon for a day as part of a benefit for the Locks of Love organization, sponsored by the Alumni Scholars Club, Vidal Sassoon, BJ's Restaurant and the UCLA Alumni Association. The event collected hair donations to make wigs for children suffering from long-term medical hair loss.
